Following these revolutions, aristocracy died a slow death in most of the countries that they occurred. This was the beginning of a process of transition that led to the establishment of democracy in many countries around the world. Towards the beginning of this process of transition, the bourgeoisie was a revolutionary force that quickened the pace of the transition.
